Pulau Tioman offers a wide range of accommodation, but mostly in budget chalets and resorts by the beach. There are a few luxury resorts that do provide an exciting vacation for the upmarket traveller or a romantic honeymoon for rich couples.
Most visitors and tourists, though, will spend their holiday staying in the cheapest places to maximise their other expenditures, such as beer and diving! Use this section to plan where to stay on a visit to this tropical paradise.

Mid Range Chalets and Beach Resorts
Mid range accommodation generally lies between MYR100-200 per chalet or room per night. A few of the resorts listed below may also have budget options, but all of them have comfortable or newly renovated rooms and chalets equipped with air conditioning and hot showers. Breakfasts come as standard, but may not be served as buffet style. You can expect coffee, toast and some local dishes at the very least. Many of these resorts have been placed in this section for the additional reason of having good bathrooms that do not look old, dilapidated or crawling with fungus and rust. Knowing how fussy some guests can be with bathrooms, you'll be assured to know that many of these resorts and chalets listed here have spanking new toilets.

Budget Chalets and Inns
Budget resorts, chalets and inns are the bread and butter of Tioman's islander folks. Most visitors and tourists to Tioman will be looking at backpacker options and the cheapest accommodation deals. Some of the chalets and resorts listed here may also have nice rooms that range above MYR100 per night, but failed getting listed in the mid range section above, perhaps for reasons such as old bathrooms that do not befit their image. For most of these budget chalets and beach resorts, don't expect too much and certainly don't expect room service.
The cheapest chalets can go as low as MYR30 per night but are very bare and basic, with cold showers, wall fans and small rooms. Toilets tend to be old and rusty, and in these places, can prove to be a fatal nightmare for hypochondriacs. However, a few budget chalets and resorts may spring a surprise or two for you with newly renovated marbled bathrooms. Mosquito netting comes as standard wraparounds for beds and you'll have to do your own cleaning (broom complimentary with all rooms).
