Pulau Tioman is located 36 nautical miles off the coast of Johor state in Peninsular Malaysia, but falls under the state jurisdisction of neighbouring Pahang. Mersing is the main entryway by ferry to Tioman, but flights are available from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. The map below outlines the main roads and jungle trails on the island, which visitors and tourists can use to find their way around the various villages and beaches.
