A jetty runs from the beach towards the sea and ends in a pier that stands several meters off the ground. There are also two floating platforms for snorkellers hovering above the water in this area. During the peak months, the marine park can get rather crowded. The marine fish that live in this area have become accustomed to being fed by visitors and tourists, readily swarming in large schools around the pier when people approach.
However, during the monsoon months, you might find local children stealing on to the jetty to do some fishing from here. The marine park is also a diving site, as there are several ship wrecks in the deeper waters. People from Ayer Batang (ABC Village) can also visit the marine park easily via the 10 minute coastal path. |
